More info: Syncing for Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, label configurations, custom classifications, and tenant policy settings intermittently fail in clients leveraging the Messaging Identity and Provisioning (MIP) SDK, such as the Microsoft 365 desktop clients, Microsoft Fabric, and Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection.

Current status: We suspect this impact may be occurring due to an authentication issue, and we’re reviewing internal telemetry data to identify what is preventing these services from syncing data within an appropriate timeframe.

Scope of impact: Any user expecting their DLP policies, label configurations, custom classifications, or tenant policy settings to sync appropriately for services leveraging the Messaging Identity and Provisioning MIP SDK may be intermittently impacted.
