User impact: Users may see an error and can’t attach Microsoft 365 data to email messages using the new Outlook for Windows.

More info: Impact includes but isn’t limited to attaching the following:
– OneDrive for Business content
– SharePoint Online site links
– Microsoft Loop components
– Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365) output

Affected users may receive the following error: “Need more information. To satisfy your organization’s security policy, an additional step is required.”

While we’re working to remediate this issue, affected users can attach these items using other connection methods, including:
– Outlook on the web
– Classic Outlook
– Outlook desktop clients
– Outlook mobile

Current status: We’ve completed deployment of the fix to all affected environments. Some users may need to restart the new Outlook for Windows application to experience relief. We’re monitoring the service and awaiting verification from affected users to confirm full resolution.

Scope of impact: Some users attempting to attach certain Microsoft 365 content to email messages using the new Outlook for Windows may be affected.
