User impact: Admins’ EMT reports may be stuck in an ”InProgress” state in Exchange Online. More info: The problem occurs in the Exchange admin center and when using PowerShell. As a workaround, some admins may be able to utilize messageTraceV2, for message tracking-related data for the last 30 days. Current status: We’ve developed and implemented a fix that corrected the configuration change and we expect has remediated impact. We’re monitoring as the backlog of EMT reports are delivered to confirm impact is completely remediated. Scope of impact: The problem impacts admins running EMT reports from the Exchange admin center and PowerShell. Root cause: A recent configuration change contains a regression that’s preventing EMT reports from exporting content. As a result, EMT reports get stuck in an “InProgress” state and queue for completion within Exchange Online. Next update by: Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 6:00 PM UTC |
