User impact: Users’ notifications from Microsoft 365 services may be delayed.

More info: Impacted notifications include, but may not be limited to, the following notification types:

– SharePoint Online email notifications for Workflow, Sharing, and Alerts
– One-time passcode notifications, including SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business verification code notifications 
– Toast notifications received within affected users’ Windows desktop.

Current status: We’ve successfully validated our intended fix to restart the affected infrastructure and repair this issue, and we’re preparing the fix for release to the affected service environments. We expect deployment to begin in all affected regions by our next scheduled update, at which time we hope to provide a more specific timeline for full deployment and remediation.

Scope of impact: Any user receiving notifications from Microsoft 365 services may be impacted.
