| Latest Message | Title: Some users are intermittently redirected to the Outlook login page when using the Report Server Web Service API
User impact: Users were getting intermittently redirected to the Outlook login page when using the Reporting Web Service API. More info: Affected users reported that they were using the Reporting Web Service API to pull message trace data and reports. We suspected that subsequent retries at leveraging the Report Server Web Service API were successful, and therefore we recommended that users try again if they were redirected to the Outlook login page. Final status: We’ve applied the expedited version of the fix to all affected environments, and we’ve confirmed with affected users that the fix has successfully resolved the problem. Scope of impact: Some users that tried to use the Reporting Web Service API were intermittently redirected to the Outlook login page. Start time: Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 2:00 AM UTC End time: Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 5:30 PM UTC Root cause: A recent Experimentation and Configuration Service (ECS) change was resulting in a code conflict that was causing an exception to occur when sending requests to the Report Server Web Service API. Next steps: This is the final update for the event. |
