User impact: Users may have experienced failures when attempting to use Mobile Device Management enrollment features. More info: For iOS devices that have already been affected, users may need restart the enrollment process from the beginning. For personal devices, this would mean restarting the enrollment process in ‘Company Portal’. For admins attempting to enroll a new device into Apple’s Device Enrollment Program, this would mean resetting the device and restarting the enrollment process using one of two following options: Option 1: Erase a device in Apple Configurator: support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/apple-configurator-mac/cad8cb745a89/mac Option 2: Restore iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings: support.apple.com/en-au/HT201252 Final status: We’ve identified that an authentication component misconfiguration within the infrastructure, responsible for facilitating Mobile Device Management enrollment features, was resulting in impact. We’ve reverted the offending configuration and restarted the affected infrastructure, which after a period of monitoring has remediated impact. However, users still facing failures may need to follow the instructions in the ‘More Info’ section of this event to experience full relief. Scope of impact: Any users serviced by the affected infrastructure who attempted to utilize the Mobile Device Management feature may have been impacted.
