Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps is making a change to the custom email notification system following the convergence to the unified portal.

[When this will happen:]

We will begin rolling out this change in mid-May and expect to complete by late May.

[How this affects your organization:]

All emails will be sent from Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps and will no longer support the option to customize the email sender identity, in the settings page.

Note: All emails will continue to be sent, and there will be no change in content of the email notifications.

[What you can do to prepare:]

If your organization actively onboarded this custom option – the identity of the sender will change automatically to Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps.
