As a Viva Engage community manager, one of the most important and time-consuming tasks is managing members, especially in large organizations where efficiency matters. If you’re a community manager for an Engage community in a Native Mode network, we are introducing a feature that will allow managers to bulk add multiple members to their community using a CSV file. This will help community managers establish their initial community membership, bring over members from another community, or migrate from another community platform. Community managers can add up to 20,000 members and the upload can take up to 24 hours to process.

[When this will happen:]

This feature will begin rollout in late May 2023 and will be fully rolled out by early June 2023.

[How this will affect your organization:]

This will not drastically impact your organization. All community managers can now bulk add members to their Engage communities. The feature also complies with any Microsoft 365 Group Policies that are being enforced in your organization.

[What you need to do to prepare:]

Make sure that community managers are aware that this feature is now available to them. As a community manager, they can access the feature through the right member panel of their community.
