While we focus on remediation, admins may be able to remove governance actions from activity policies which base their criteria on users from the external user group, to experience immediate relief. Current status: Our investigation has determined that a recent configuration change intended to improve policy ingestion in Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps infrastructure contained a misconfiguration that led to impact. We’ve reconfigured the infrastructure to repair this issue and prevent further impact from occurring, and we’re evaluating methods to correct the incorrectly applied policies to remediate the remaining impact.
