User impact: Users may be unable to access their Wi-Fi or VPN on Android devices that require a certificate from Microsoft Intune.

More info: Users may be affected if they require a new SCEP certificate delivery from Microsoft Intune to access their Wi-Fi or VPN on newly targeted Android devices that don’t already have a valid certificate. Users with existing valid SCEP certificates aren’t affected by this behavior and are able to access network connections as expected.

However, regardless of whether certificates already exist on the device, users on Android devices leveraging SCEP certificate profiles may be blocked from receiving any other targeted configuration policy. Admins may also be affected and may see errors in the SCEP policy console for the associated policy status in Microsoft Intune.

Current status: We’ve completed all of the needed validations to ensure the fix deployment to roll back the previous change works as expected. We’ve now deployed this fix to all affected environments and we’re monitoring the progress to ensure its completion and subsequent remediation of impact.
