More info: Specifically, Microsoft 365 for Education services, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365 admin center are impacted and all the affected scenarios consist of the following:

-Users cannot access Search Coach and Search Progress in Teams for Education; reports indicate it cannot be added as a Teams tab and existing experiences are failing. Lionel described it as a “near total outage” and later “it just doesn’t work.”

– Parent/guardian (“related contact”) information can’t be retrieved through School Data Sync (SDS). Any scenarios depending on related contacts fail.

-Education admins can’t trigger batch age-gating operations from SDS through the Microsoft admin center.

– Admins and users can’t access Education configuration pages and see an error message “cannot load page” in Microsoft 365 admin center

– Admins can’t create or manage Speaker Progress resources using Speaker Progress Graph APIs

-Admins can’t access or utilize Assignments scenarios that call Related Contacts indirectly.

Current status: We’ve been alerted through our service monitoring that an issue is affecting all education tenants. We’ve identified that a recent rollout of an authentication configuration is causing failures when processing requests to the listed affected scenarios. We’ve applied a change to the affected configuration and are working on validating that it resolves this issue.
