As a workaround, affected users could access the affected apps directly through office.com or microsoft365.com.

Previously, some users who were based in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region were affected by this event and have since been remediated.

Final status: We’ve confirmed that the final deployment has completed saturation throughout the remaining affected regions, and after monitoring the service, we’ve verified that this action has successfully remediated the problem.

Scope of impact: Impact was specific to some users in the United States region who attempted to access apps through the Microsoft 365 app or the Settings page in SharePoint Online.
