User impact: Users’ DLP policy approved email messages aren’t being delivered or are encountering delays in Exchange Online.

Current status: Due to unrelated issues occurring within our deployment pipeline, our estimated timeline of beginning the deployment of the fix has been delayed by a day, but we do anticipate it will begin by our next scheduled update. While we stand by for the deployment of the fix to start, we’re continuing to manually mitigate the issues for impacted databases to provide relief to affected users.

Scope of impact: This issue may affect any user attempting to send or receive email messages that require DLP policy approvals.

Root cause: A recent change introduced a regression which caused certain DLP properties to be incorrectly indexed. This resulted in our Event Based Assistants receiving a signal stating something critical is occurring when attempting to access the database to approve requests, resulting in restarts and impact.
