User impact: Users are receiving a warning in the Chrome browser that SharePoint Online sites are potentially malicious.

More info: As a workaround, affected users may be able to use an alternate browser to access SharePoint Online sites. Additionally, users can leverage Microsoft Edge while we continue to address this issue.

Current status: We’re continuing to work with the third-party browser provider to understand why this issue is occurring. In parallel, we’re gathering relevant tenant and URL information to assist in the overall investigation. Additionally, if your organization is still experiencing impact, please capture any network traces for our review.

Scope of impact: Based on our investigation, a subset of tenants’ users attempting to access SharePoint Online sites through a link may receive a warning message indicating that the content is deceptive or otherwise malicious.
