We are excited to introduce several usability enhancements for tagging items in review sets within the eDiscovery (Premium) solution in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal.

Rollout will begin in early July and is expected to be complete by late July.

With this new tag templates features, eDiscovery admins can

• Manage tag templates that can be reused across multiple review sets and cases.
• Import tags relevant to their cases from existing tag templates

With the tagging usability enhancements in the review sets, eDiscovery managers can

• Add tag status columns 
• Bulk tagging count indication (show count of existing items with the tag)

[What you can do to prepare:]

No action is needed to enable these updates. Once the rollout is complete, you can take advantage of the new grouping options and configurations in your eDiscovery (Premium) review sets. Distribute the following documentation to your organization’s eDiscovery admins and managers for a better understanding of the new enhancements:
