Microsoft Managed Desktop Imaging team has released a new version of the Universal Image with June-2023 updates. APIM is deprecated and moved to Location Service.

We expect Universal Images with June-2023 updates to be available on July 3rd.

[How this will affect your organization:]

June-2023 Security Updates have been added to the following –

• Windows 11 22H2 Universal Images (v1.3)
• Windows 11 21H2 Universal Images (v4.1)
• Windows 10 22H2 Universal Images (v1.3) 
• Windows 10 21H2 Universal Images (v4.1) 

Note: Universal Image Windows 10 20H2 and 21H1 do not contain the above updates and is not planned for any future updates. 

[What you need to do to prepare:]

Universal Images can be downloaded using script v1.4 available at https://aka.ms/MMDUniversal. If you have script version 1.4, no new download of the script is required.

For any questions, please submit a support request for information through the admin portal.
