User impact: Users may be unable to access the Activity explorer in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal.

Current status: We’ve reverted the aforementioned change but confirmed this hasn’t remediated impact as expected. We’ve further identified that a scheduled update, intended to perform maintenance on infrastructure responsible for hosting the Microsoft Purview compliance portal, inadvertently didn’t complete as expected and is causing a role check API to not grant Activity explorer access as required due to there now being a version incompatibility. We’re redeploying the required maintenance update to remediate impact and expect this to complete by our next scheduled update.

Scope of impact: Impact is specific to some users who are served through the affected infrastructure, attempting to access the Activity explorer in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal.
