Updated August 2, 2023: We have updated the rollout timeline below. Thank you for your patience. Tasks created via Microsoft Loop components will sync across Microsoft 365 apps like Microsoft To Do, Microsoft Planner, and Tasks app in Teams.
This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 124928 [When this will happen:] We will begin rolling out in mid-June 2023 and expect to complete rollout by early August 2023 (previously mid-July). [How this will affect your organization:] Task list Loop components are currently available in Outlook and Teams and can be inserted into emails and chats through a ‘Loop Components’ insertion menu. With this change, all tasks created in these lists will automatically sync and be visible in Planner, and assigned tasks will show up in To Do in the ‘Assigned to me‘ smart list. These tasks will also be visible in all apps that show Planner and To Do tasks such as the Tasks app in Microsoft Teams. As tasks are added or completed, the updates stay in sync across all the places the task list was shared, no matter where the edits are being completed. You’ll be able to work on these tasks in Microsoft Planner and everywhere you can access your Planner plans (for example Tasks in Teams) or tasks (for example, To Do).
