User impact: Admins may be unable to enable some configuration options within the Watermarking feature for Windows 365 Cloud PCs.

More info: We’ve reconfigured the feature to correct this issue for admins with Hybrid Entra ID Joined Cloud PCs who have configured this setting via Group Policy Objects (GPOs). Admins should verify that the “QR code embedded content” setting is set to “Device ID” in the GPO they’re using to configure the Watermarking feature.

As a result of this issue, admins may be unable to capture some device information associated with Watermarking QR codes. Affected information includes device IDs and timestamps.

Current status: We’ve completed the validation of our fix to resolve the remaining impact of this issue, and we’re anticipating it’ll be fully deployed throughout the affected environment by our next scheduled communications update.

Scope of impact: Any admin attempting to enable the affected configuration options within the Watermarking feature for Windows 365 Cloud PCs may be impacted.
