User impact: Users’ Apps icon under Add-Ins section is disabled when formatting mode is in Plain text, when using Outlook on the web.

Current status: The fix is deploying in stages to the affected environments. The first stage of deployment is approximately 50 percent complete and should reach 100 percent by our next scheduled communication update. We’re monitoring as the fix continues deploying and will provide an estimated timeline for the additional deployment stages when available.

Scope of impact: Some users’ Apps icon under Add-Ins section may be disabled when formatting mode is in Plain text, when using Outlook on the web.

Root cause: The coding for the Apps button on the ribbon in Outlook for the web was disabling the button whenever someone selected plain-text mode, resulting in impact.
