More info: This specifically impacts users with streaming notifications enabled for Exchange Online who are also using connection methods that utilize the Exchange Web Services (EWS) API, including, but not limited, to legacy Outlook for Mac.

Affected users may notice that any action facilitated by the Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) API, which ingests the streaming notifications that are impacted, may be affected. This includes, but isn’t limited to, sending and receiving email messages, and copying, moving, deleting, and updating email messages and other items.

Current status: We’ve completed the validation of our fix and initiated its deployment in the affected environment. Our monitoring indicates that the fix’s deployment is currently 10 percent complete. We’ll provide an estimated resolution timeline once available. In parallel, our continued assessment of the underlying root cause of this issue has revealed that impact is specific to users of streaming notifications in Exchange Online whose connection methods utilize the EWS API.
