Windows Update for Business reports is the evolution of Microsoft’s Update Compliance reporting solution. As previously announced, organizations using Update Compliance must enroll in Windows Update for Business reports by February 14, 2023, to continue receiving reports.

Designed for rapid innovation, Windows Update for Business reports is a new experience, combining organizational and device-level reporting with actionable data and insights. Reports include:

If your organization is using Update Compliance, enroll in Windows Update for Business reports today to avoid any workflow or dependencies disruption. Update Compliance is no longer an active solution, and will not be usable after March 2023. To learn more, see Now generally available: Windows Update for Business reports.

You must enroll in Windows Update for Business reports by February 14, 2023. Update Compliance will not be usable past March 2023. Transition today to prevent interruption of your reports.

Organizations are encouraged to discontinue use of Update Compliance reporting as soon as possible and enroll in Windows Update for Business reports. This is important to avoid any workflow or dependencies disruption during this transition – for example, if you have custom dashboards that are using the old Log Analytics tables, we urge you to start transitioning and building on top of the new data schema. Please note that going forward, reporting will only be supported for Azure AD joined (or hybrid-joined) devices.

Organizations don?t need to be using Update Compliance to take advantage of Windows Update for Business reports. Begin today and improve your update management workflows.
