Current status: We’re continuing our efforts of applying the settings change to correct the null reference that’s causing the underlying migration issue, as well as resetting the migrations of impacted users on a broader scale to fully address the problem. Affected users will experience remediation incrementally as our remediation efforts progress, and we anticipate being able to provide a mitigation timeline for the remaining affected users by our next scheduled update. Please note that we’ve assessed that impact is specific to cross-geo mailbox migrations and have updated the “Title” and “User impact” of this communication accordingly.

Scope of impact: Any admin attempting to perform cross-geo migrations may be affected.

Root cause: A null reference in data transformations is causing some failures in specific migration scenarios.
