Latest Message | Title: Some users may not see files in the OneDrive for Business shared folder when using the modern experience
User impact: Users may not see files in the OneDrive for Business shared folder when using the modern experience. More info: The OneDrive for Business shared folder is in the modern experience by default. Users can bypass the impact by using the classic experience or going to office.com to view the files that are shared with them. Current status: As mentioned in our last communication, we’ve identified a mitigation option that provides temporary relief for users facing this issue; however, contrary to our assertion in the prior update, we’ve not yet begun deployment as we’re continuing to investigate the most scalable means to execute this mitigation for affected users. While we continue to assess the best deployment options for this short-term fix, including if it’s a viable and scalable solution, we’re additionally examining recent changes made to the service so we can better isolate cause of the resource quote misconfiguration to inform our development of a permanent remediation strategy. Scope of impact: This issue may prevent some users that are using the SharePoint Online modern experience from seeing files in the OneDrive for Business shared folder. Root cause: A resource quota misconfiguration is being introduced when shared folders are created, resulting in impact. Next update by: Friday, March 3, 2023, at 2:30 AM UTC |
