User impact: Users’ SharePoint Online content search results may be missing or may disappear when pages load.

More info: Items in search driven results may appear to be out of date or incomplete. Items within the search index that may be impacted were created or updated prior to Monday, February 5, 2024. Any content added or modified after February 5, 2024, isn’t impacted. Source content isn’t impacted by this incident.

Current status: The first phase of our two-step repair plan, which is to repair the list of affected items that we’ve identified, is ongoing and taking more time than initially expected. We anticipate having a better estimation of its completion and an update on the second phase of targeting any remaining items by our next update.

Scope of impact: This issue may impact the availability of some items when users perform content searches or use the News web part in SharePoint Online.
