User impact: Users may be unable to access or receive results when accessing some SharePoint Online lists and receive an error.

More info: Impacted users receive the following error when attempting to access some SharePoint Online lists:
“One or more field types are not installed properly. Go to list settings page to delete these fields.”

Current status: We’ve completed deployment of the previously mentioned change to correct the misconfiguration leading to impact; however, we’ve determined that while this action will prevent further users from entering the affected state, a secondary fix is required to resolve the issue for already affected users. We’ve initiated development of this fix, and we’re aiming to provide a new timeline for deployment and full remediation in our next scheduled update.

Scope of impact: Some users accessing SharePoint Online lists may be impacted.

Root cause: A recent configuration change to the schema responsible for displaying SharePoint Online list results, intended to resolve an unrelated issue, removed the content tags needed to display the affected results and is resulting in impact.
