User impact: Users’ SharePoint Online content search results may be missing or may disappear when pages load.

More info: Items in search results may appear to be out of date or incomplete. Items within the search index that may be impacted were created or updated prior to Monday, February 5, 2024. Any content added or modified after February 5, 2024, isn’t impacted. Source content isn’t impacted by this incident.

Current status: Our scanning for the missing SharePoint Online content search results continues and is expected to run up until the start of the final phase of our mitigations. We’ve scheduled this final phase of our mitigation which will conduct a sync of any un-synced items and expect an estimated timeline for impact remediation will be available by our next scheduled update.

Scope of impact: This issue may impact the availability of some items when users perform content searches or use the News web part in SharePoint Online.
