Final status: Our investigation determined that Viva Engage community announcement email notifications were also impacted and the Title, User impact, More info, and Scope of impact fields of our communication have been updated accordingly. After a period of monitoring, we confirmed that our reversion of a recent service update, which was meant to update the underlying code repository for Viva Engage, but introduced a code misconfiguration which resulted in this issue, has fully resolved the problem.

Scope of impact: Any user who expected to receive community announcements through the Android or iOS Viva Engage apps or through email may have been impacted.
