Current status: We’ve assessed that the issue hasn’t recovered on its own. We’ve further confirmed that the previously mentioned change introduced a configuration issue that requires a fix. We’ve developed a fix to correct the configuration issue which is undergoing testing and validation before we proceed with deploying the fix to the affected environment.

Scope of impact: This issue may affect any user attempting to access the Exchange Online service through the ActiveSync connection method, although it’s unlikely that all users are actively impacted at once due to the intermittent nature of the event.
