More info: Admins may not receive the expected eDiscovery search results within the compliance portal for documents with a label being applied with encryption. The files are showing up in users’ OneDrive accounts but can’t be located with eDiscovery searches.

Current status: Our investigation has determined that some components of infrastructure responsible for calling the endpoints required to ingest the affected search results are encountering an error that’s causing the service to incorrectly identify those search results as restricted, leading to impact. We’re developing a fix to resolve this issue. We anticipate that the development will be complete by our next scheduled communications update, at which time we’ll validate the fix for efficacy before deploying to the impacted service environments. In parallel, we’re preparing a script for affected admins to run within their environment to resync the affected labels to the search service once the fix is deployed to ensure it takes effect as expected.

Scope of impact: Some admins serviced through the affected infrastructure performing eDiscovery searches through the compliance portal may be impacted.
