| Latest Message | Title: Some users are intermittently redirected to the Outlook login page when using the Report Server Web Service API
User impact: Users are getting intermittently redirected to the Outlook login page when using the Reporting Web Service API. More info: Affected users report that they’re using the Reporting Web Service API to pull message trace data and reports. We suspect that subsequent retries at leveraging the Report Server Web Service API are successful, and therefore we recommend that users try again if they’re redirected to the Outlook login page. Current status: We’ve disabled the Experimentation and Configuration Service (ECS) change that we’ve identified is resulting in the code conflict, as this will stop the issue from affecting additional infrastructure and occurring with increasing frequency. In parallel, we’re continuing to internally test our fix which will remediate the impact on infrastructure where the problematic change had already been deployed and we’re assessing potential options to expedite recovery. Once testing and validation is complete, we’ll have a more precise idea of a resolution timeline. Scope of impact: Some users trying to use the Reporting Web Service API are intermittently redirected to the Outlook login page. Start time: Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 9:30 AM UTC Root cause: A recent Experimentation and Configuration Service (ECS) change is resulting in a code conflict causing an exception to occur when sending requests to the Report Server Web Service API.
