More info: This notification concerns persistent user impact resulting from events described in MO545600, which we’ve determined is a significantly rarer occurrence and does not prevent users from accessing any Microsoft 365 services. We identified the condition through additional customer reports and our own internal validations that a second layer of impact to a small group of search queries is causing some users to receive partial or incomplete results. Affected queries performed within customized or legacy versions of the search user interface (UI) within Microsoft 365 service platforms may receive an error when encountering this problem, although no error will be shown for occurrences of the issue within the modern search UI. Current status: We’re seeing initial positive results with our progressing fix within the test environment and expect to finalize our test by the end of the weekend. Once finished, we will begin incrementally applying the fix to our customer environments, which is expected to begin early next week. Scope of impact: While a rare occurrence, any user may experience this issue when running a search query that encounters a functional search index issue.
