With the changes announced in MC522476, the Threat Protection Status report, Mail Flow report, and Top Senders and Recipients report will now contain intra-organizational message details.  

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 117487

[When this will happen:]

This change is rolling out now and will include the additional data within the reports along with the ability to filter the report for intra-organizational messages. These changes will apply to the Directionality filter in the reports, the schedule of the report, and PowerShell cmdlets. We expect this rollout and changes to be completed by October 2023. 

Note: The changes may appear in different orders, I.e. the data may show up before filtering shows up or vice versa.

There is no impact to your organization other than the additional data showing up in the reports mentioned above.

The purpose of this post is for informational awareness. Tenant Admins might also want to consider updating their training documentation.
