– Users may not be able to create new teams & channels
– Users may not be able to install apps
– Users may have trouble issuing searches
– Users may see delays in admin policy changes taking effect
– Users might see errors when using messaging extensions
– Users may not see up to date Presence information
– Teams Graph APIs may be impacted
– Assignments tab in Teams may not load
– Teams Admin Center functionalities may not perform as expected

SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Bookings, Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps in Microsoft 365 may also be experiencing some impact related to this issue.

Current status: In addition to the mitigation efforts we’ve taken to resolve this issue, Microsoft is aware of claims from a third party that anomalous external traffic is affecting service quality. We take all such claims seriously and are investigating them as a part of our comprehensive troubleshooting of this event. The multiple updates made by our engineers have significantly increased service stability and performance. Our engineers remain fully engaged and are taking all steps to restore service to optimal levels. We’re also continuing to monitor the service as we apply mitigations.

To that end, we recently made a series of changes targeted at request handling logic, specifically around request usage volumes. Our telemetry indicates that the service has remained largely stable throughout this process; however, the incident is not fully resolved. We’re broadening our mitigation strategy and will continue to intervene immediately should we detect further reductions in the availability of our services.

Scope of impact: Users routed through the affected infrastructure are affected by this issue, however, impact can vary depending on where users are hosted.
