More info: This issue could affect searches that include messages with attachments in any Exchange Online connection method, including methods such as Outlook on the web and the Outlook desktop client.

Current status: While we’ve observed that the reversion process has mostly completed and the issue shouldn’t recur for the majority of users searching for new messages with attachments, we’re monitoring the final portion of the remaining impacted environment to ensure it’s addressed. In parallel, we’re re-indexing user message data which will restore the search functionality for those messages created during deployment to fully remediate impact.
