As part of our routine device management services, we will deploy the next update of the Windows Autopatch baseline (version 2306) to your Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) organization (tenant).

[When will this happen:]

We expect to start deployment on June 29, 2023, and for it to be fully completed by mid-July 2023, as per the following schedule:

• Test group: June 29, 2023
• First group: July 5, 2023
• Fast group: July 10, 2023
• Broad group: July 17, 2023

[How does this affect your organization:]

We are updating the baseline configuration and will deploy to your Test group and progress through your other groups (First, Fast, and Broad), as described in Windows Autopatch update management.

To monitor this and other deployment statuses, visit the Microsoft Intune admin center.

Summary of changes:

We are removing the Windows diagnostic data notification and user control settings that could prevent IT Admins from configuring the end user experience settings for diagnostic data levels they need for their organizations.

The name of the changing policy is ‘Windows Autopatch – Data Collection policy’. The following settings will be removed from the policy: ConfigureTelemetryOptInChangeNotification and ConfigureTelemetryOptInSettingsUxWorkplace values (currently set to Enabled).

This does not alter the required Windows Diagnostics level setting required for Autopatch. The setting AllowTelemetry is still required (currently set to 3). For more information about Windows Autopatch diagnostic levels, see Changes made at tenant enrollment.

[What you need to do to prepare:]

No action is required. If you have any questions or concerns, or need assistance, file a service request by visiting the Support section of the Microsoft Intune admin center.

Note: If you have modified the target version of Window Autopatch’s feature update policies, your changes will be overwritten by this change.
