User impact: Users with an IRST time zone setup may see incorrect times when using the Scheduling Assistant.

More info: This issue may impact the Microsoft Teams and Exchange Online services. Specifically, the time zone is portraying the time as one hour earlier than expected.

Additionally, affected users may encounter the issue when viewing Microsoft Teams calendar events from the web app in the Microsoft Edge browser, desktop client or mobile application. As a workaround, affected users may be able to manually update their local Windows time zone.

Current status: The fix is taking longer than expected to deploy, and we’re monitoring the environment to make sure it deploys at a safe speed. In parallel, we expect the deployment to reach the majority of affected users by Tuesday, July 4, 2023.

Scope of impact: Users in the IRST time zone or those who have their accounts set up for the time zone may be impacted by this event.

Root cause: A configuration file within the Microsoft Teams calendar code base that adjusts regional time zones isn’t configurated as expected, resulting in users using the IRST time zone to see the incorrect time.
