More info: Admins specifically may notice this issue occurring in the Antivirus platform version card of the Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Device health report page, the Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Advanced Hunting AvPlatformVersion column in table DeviceTvmInfoGathering, and the Device health card on the Microsoft Defender for Endpoint device page.

Current status: Further investigation revealed that impact is specific to antivirus platform version data within some sections of the Microsoft 365 Defender portal, and the “Title,” “User impact,” “More info,” and “Scope of impact” statements have been accordingly updated to reflect this. Regarding our investigation, we determined that impact is instead due to a code regression introduced in a recent update intended to optimize the means by which antivirus platform version information is populated in the Microsoft 365 Defender portal. To resolve the issue, we’re reverting the regressed code and we’ll aim to provide a concrete estimated time to resolution in our next scheduled update.

Scope of impact: Admins attempting to view Antivirus platform version information within specific sections of the Microsoft 365 Defender portal are impacted by this event.
