User impact: Users may be unable to perform searches in multiple Microsoft 365 services.

Affected users may receive a 500 internal server error message “something went wrong” when attempting to search.

Current status: We’ve identified that a recent service update, intended to enhance general search functionality, is inadvertently causing users to encounter errors when performing searches in multiple Microsoft 365 services. We’re reverting the update to remediate impact.

Scope of impact: Impact is specific to some users who are served through the affected infrastructure attempting to search in multiple Microsoft 365 services.
