As part of our routine device management services, we will deploy the next update of the Windows Autopatch baseline (version 2308) to your Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) organization (tenant).

[When will this happen:]

We expect to start deployment on September 5th, 2023, and plan for its completion by late September 2023, per the following schedule:

• Test group: September 5th, 2023
• First group: September 7th, 2023
• Fast group: September 14th, 2023
• Broad group: September 21st, 2023

[How does this affect your organization:]

We are updating the baseline configuration and will deploy to your Test group and progress through your other groups (First, Fast, and Broad), as described in Windows Autopatch update management. To monitor this and other deployment statuses, visit the Microsoft Intune admin center.

Summary of changes:

The following changes are done in the script ‘Modern Workplace – Autopatch Client Setup v1.1‘

• We have improved the reliability of our log collection tooling to better assist you when support requests are raised. This script installs the latest Windows Autopatch client components, enabling the improved log collection plugin for the ‘Microsoft Cloud Managed Desktop Extension’ app. Logs are only collected from relevant and authorized locations on devices as needed for analysis and troubleshooting with support requests.
• Sign the PowerShell script uploaded to Intune so that customers can execute this script on their devices, who set a policy for PowerShell execution to check if the script is signed.

No action is required. If you have any questions or concerns, or need assistance, file a service request by visiting the Support section of the Microsoft Intune admin center.

Note: If you have modified the target version of Window Autopatch’s feature update policies, your changes will be overwritten by this change.
