Collaboration security capabilities for Microsoft Teams will be made available in expanded preview for all users by mid-October 2023 (previously late September). 

[How this will affect your organization:]

Teams’ protection is rolling out to Microsoft Defender for Office 365 customers as indicated in Message Center posts MC649928 and MC567478.

[What you need to do to prepare:]

If you wish to disable Teams protection features for URL blocking, ZAP protection, and user reporting for Teams, you will need to follow instructions referenced in the above noted Message Center posts.
