More info: In addition to users being unable to create Microsoft 365 Groups in Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online and Viva Engage, users may also observe the following impact scenarios:

1) Admins may be unable change group settings for Microsoft 365 Groups.
2) Users may be unable to create a new Microsoft 365 Group via PowerShell.
3) When creating a new Group or Channel via Microsoft Teams, the Group or Channel may fail or show as being created, but it may not be correctly created.

Current status: Following the development and validation for our fix, we’ve determined that our earlier reported impact didn’t accurately represent the entire impact scenario and we’ve updated the Title, User Impact, and More Info portions of this communication with the updated information.

Scope of impact: Impact is specific to some users who are served through the affected infrastructure that are attempting to create and modify Microsoft 365 Groups in Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online and Viva Engage.
