User impact: Users’ SPFx webparts aren’t loading on SharePoint Online pages.

As a workaround to avoid this issue and view SPFx webparts as expected, admins can perform the following steps:

– Navigate to portal.azure.com
– Remove the existing “Client secrets” if any exist
– Visit the API access page in the SharePoint admin center portal with a user that has Azure Active Directory (AAD) admin permissions

Current status: We’ve identified that a recent service update that introduced a change to an authentication process resulted in a compatibility issue with SharePoint Online Client Extensibility Web Application Principals and Client secrets, causing some users to receive an error message when trying to load SPFx webparts on SharePoint Online pages. We’ve halted and reverted the update and are reaching out to some users who initially reported the issue to confirm that the impact is remediated.
