Current status: We’re continuing our efforts of applying the settings change that corrects the problem will the null reference that’s causing the underlying migration issue, as well as resetting the migrations of impacted users on a broader scale to fully address the problem. Affected users will experience remediation incrementally as our remediation efforts progress, and we anticipate being able to provide a mitigation timeline for the remaining affected users by our next scheduled update. Please note that we’ve assessed that impact is specific to cross-geo mailbox migrations and have updated the “Title” and “User impact” of this communication accordingly.

Scope of impact: Any admin attempting to perform cross-geo migrations may be affected.

Root cause: A null reference in data transformations is causing some failures in specific migration scenarios.
