More info: Users attempting to play impacted Stream videos will encounter the error message: “This browser or app can’t play the video. Something might be outdated or not supported. Try again using a different browser or app.”

Current status: We’ve added additional throughput and made infrastructure repairs that will improve the speed of the scan and repair job for the remaining unplayable Stream files. We will provide an updated timeline for full resolution when it becomes available.

Preliminary root cause: A recent feature update, intended to enhance the reliability and stability of our service, contained a code regression that impacted Stream video files that were migrated between Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 2:00 AM UTC, and Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 9:30 AM UTC, causing them to be unable to play.
