User impact: Users’ email messages including specific URLs may be incorrectly flagged as phishing and quarantined in Exchange Online.

Current status: We’ve confirmed through monitoring service health telemetry that email messages containing the affected URLs are no longer being quarantined, and we’ve also repaired the identified detection issues. We’re now reviewing service logging to identify all email messages sent during the impact period that remain quarantined. Once identified, we’ll begin processing the release of the impacted email messages to ensure they reach their intended destination.

Scope of impact: Any user with messages including the URLs with the affected domains may be impacted by this event.

Root cause: A recent change caused domain creation dates to be identified as newly created, which is causing reputation issues with our phishing detection systems, and any messages containing the URLs with the affected domains are being flagged as phishing and quarantined.
