More info: More specifically, users may incorrectly receive a security prompt when opening Word, Excel or PowerPoint files in their respective web apps within SharePoint Online. Also, affected users may see the following message “This content presents a potential issue”.

Current status: Our configuring and validation of additional changes is ongoing and more time is needed before completion to ensure efficacy at remediating impact. While we continue to work on these changes, we’re continuing to monitor prompt rates to ensure our previous fix deployment continues to provide relief in the meantime.

Scope of impact: Impact is specific to some users who are served through the affected infrastructure, attempting to open Word, Excel or PowerPoint files in their respective SharePoint Online web app.
