Current status: We’ve identified additional changes were needed to ensure the fix successfully remediates impact. We’re implementing the changes on the proposed fix that will undergo additional validations. We anticipate the validations will be complete and the deployment may start by our next communication update.

Scope of impact: Impact may be specific to any admin who is served through the affected infrastructure that’s attempting to access scheduled report links in Microsoft Defender for Identity.

Root cause: A recent update to the Microsoft Defender for Identity portal contained a code issue, causing scheduled report links sent from email notifications to link to an older and incompatible portal, resulting in impact.
