User impact: Users may hear an echo if embedded audio is enabled when using PowerPoint Live in the new Microsoft Teams.

More info: Impact occurs if a Mac user is present and unmuted in the presentation. It can also occur when users are sharing content with “Include Computer Sound” enabled in Microsoft Teams.
To avoid this issue, use the Share button within Teams to share the presentation, and make sure to enable the “Include sound” option.
Users will need to restart their Microsoft Teams client to receive the fix.

Current status: Our initial estimation of the deployment timeline was optimistic, and the deployment has completed to approximately 25 percent of the affected environment. We’re monitoring its progression as it continues and are establishing a timeline for completion that we’ll provide with our next scheduled update.

Scope of impact: Any user may be impacted when joining a PowerPoint Live presentation that has embedded audio enabled and has a Mac user who is both unmuted and on the new Microsoft Teams clients.
