User impact: Users may see an error and can’t attach Microsoft 365 data to email messages using the new Outlook for Windows.

More info: Impact includes, but is not limited to attaching the following:
– OneDrive for Business content
– SharePoint Online site links
– Loop components
– Copilot output

Affected users may receive the following error: “Need more information. To satisfy your organization’s security policy, an additional step is required.”

While we’re working to remediate this issue, affected users can attach these items using other connection methods, including:
– Outlook on the web
– Classic Outlook
– Outlook desktop clients
– Outlook mobile

Current status: Development of our potential code fix is progressing as expected. In parallel, we’re continuing our investigation into the previously mentioned authentication issue that we suspect is leading to impact to assist us in confirming our root cause theory.

Scope of impact: Some users attempting to attach certain Microsoft 365 content to email messages using new Outlook for Windows may be affected.
